History

Eddi's Wholesale Garden Supplies was founded in 1968 by Ed & Diane Les, working from their home with one van and four product lines. Thanks to our customers' loyalty we have achieved enviable success and growth. In September 2001 Eddi's acquired a garden supply distributor in Victoria. We now stock more than 5,000 items in our combined 100,000 square foot warehouses. From our two locations we ship throughout western Canada.

Ed and Diane, whose names form the eddi in our company name are still working in the business as President and Vice President.

Operations

The General Manager of the company is Joe Cassetta. He ensures that we are able to respond to dealer requests regarding inventory, credit and service levels. Joe controls our purchasing and sales programmes. Tim Les is the Comptroller in charge of all inventory movements, shipments, pricing and warehouse logistics.

Sales and Marketing

Our sales representatives serving British Columbia include Greg Olson, Jim Hunter, Randy Goodwin, and Shelly Vance in Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast, Marlene Duncan and Clint Crowder in the Interior, Okanagan, Kootenays, and Northern BC. Our Vancouver Island reps are Tim Cribden, Karen Redden, and Wes Young.

Customer Service and Sales

Our in-house Mainland crew includes Howard Eakin, Peter Stokes and Chris Whidden. Our receptionist and administrative assistant is Becky Van Vliet. Our Vancouver Island crew includes Carolyn Clunie, Val Sinclaire, and Ron Cox.

Accounting

Colin Davidson is in charge of credit, receivables, and collection. Lori Cassetta manages payables and general ledger entries.

Warehouse

Tom Sooch receives all arriving merchandise, orders are picked by Steve Campbell and Justin Olson. Our local deliveries are handled by Rick Charney and Darren van Leeuwen. On Vancouver Island we have Mike Fraser, Steve Thomson, and Harreson Sinclaire.
